Introducing Mediphant v2 - The Health Sharing App for Families

I started Mediphant after caring for my father. Today, we're launching a new way for families to share health information, understand records, and coordinate care together.

A few years ago, I stepped away from work to take care of my father. I had worked around healthcare for years, but being on the other side of it as a caregiver was a completely different experience.

There were appointments to coordinate, medications to track, lab reports to understand, and insurance issues to untangle. None of these things were impossible on their own, but together they became a constant part of daily life. I found myself trying to keep the story straight: what changed, what mattered, what needed follow-up, and who else in the family needed to know.

That experience stayed with me because it made something very clear: healthcare is rarely managed by one person alone. It is shared by patients, spouses, children, siblings, caregivers, and doctors. But the information itself is still scattered across portals, PDFs, phone calls, paper records, and memory.

The Gap Is Bigger Than Most People Realize

That gap is bigger than most people realize. In 2024, 59% of people had multiple online medical records or patient portals, but only 7% used an app to bring that information into one place, according to the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT. We have made progress on access, but access alone has not solved the harder problem: helping families understand, coordinate, and act on that information together.

Caregiving also asks more of families than we often acknowledge. AARP and the National Alliance for Caregiving found that more than 40% of caregivers provide high-intensity care, but only 22% receive training for complex medical tasks. That means families are being asked to do serious, consequential work while piecing together context as they go.

From Personal Companion to Family Healthcare App

When we first started building Mediphant, we described it as your personal healthcare companion for life. That was the right place to begin, because every patient needs a trusted place to understand and organize their own health.

But as we spent more time with patients and caregivers, we kept coming back to the same truth: healthcare does not happen alone. The better version of Mediphant had to be built not just around the individual, but around the family and trusted circle of people who help care happen.

That is the version we are launching today.

Mediphant: The Healthcare Sharing App for Families

Mediphant is the healthcare sharing app for families. It helps you bring health information together, understand what it means, and share it with the people you trust.

Our beliefs are simple:

  • Patients and their families should own their complete health data.
  • Healthcare is a team sport.
  • Better care starts when everyone involved has a shared understanding.

This is still early, but it is the version of Mediphant I wish I had when I was caring for my father. Not another portal. Not another place to manually organize everything. A way for a family to hold the health story together, with more clarity and less guesswork.

Built for Patients and Caregivers

We're building Mediphant for every patient and caregiver who has had to become the memory, translator, coordinator, and advocate all at once.

Healthcare is a constant and never-ending part of family life, and no one should have to carry the burden alone.

Try Mediphant and start sharing health information with your family today.
