Connecting with Others on Mediphant

Build your care circle - invite family and friends, choose what each person can see, and manage roles over time.

Health is rarely managed alone. Your care circle is the group of family and friends who help you stay on top of it - and Mediphant lets you decide exactly how much each person sees. Connections start small and grow only when you say so.

Finding people

From Home, tap the + in “Your care circle” to open the Connect with Others sheet. You'll see up to four tabs:

Search

Look people up by name, @handle, email, or phone number - or scan their QR code.

Suggested

“People you may know,” based on mutual circles. Connect with one tap.

Invite

Family not on Mediphant yet? Send up to five email invitations at once - when they sign up, they automatically get a connection request from you.

Your Link

Share your personal QR code or invite link - perfect for connecting in person or over text.

Making a connection, step by step

  1. 1

    Find them

In the Search tab, enter a name, @handle, email, or phone number and tap their result to open a preview of their profile.

  2. 2

    Invite them to your circle

Tap Add to your circle and then Send Invitation. They join as an Observer once they accept - the most limited role, so nothing sensitive is shared by default.

  3. 3

    Or ask to join theirs

Sharing goes both ways. On the same preview, tap Request access under “Access to their circle” to ask to see their updates. Each direction is a separate, explicit approval.

  4. 4

    Adjust their role

On the Manage Circles page, find them under Circle Members, open the menu, and tap Change Role to give them more (or less) access at any time.

The three roles

Observer

Can view basic health updates and posts. The default for every new connection.

Inner Circle

Can view detailed health records and post updates. For your closest caregivers.

Admin

Can manage circle members and has full access to health records. Reserve this for the person who truly runs point.

When someone wants deeper access - say, to view your timeline - they can request an upgrade from within the app. You'll see it under Pending Requests on your Circles page, where you can review and approve or decline.

Common questions

Yes. On the Circles page, open their menu and choose Remove from Circle. They lose access right away, and you can reconnect later if things change.
No. New connections start as Observers, who only see basic health updates and posts. Detailed records stay private until you deliberately upgrade someone's role.
Doctors and clinics connect differently, as Guardians - see Connecting with Your Guardian.
